How to Make Them

Step 1: Prepare the Peppers

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes inside. Set them aside.

Step 2: Cook the Filling

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and cook until softened.
  2. Add the ground beef or turkey, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until the meat is browned.
  3. Stir in the cooked rice and 1/2 cup of the shredded cheese. Mix well, then remove from heat.

Step 3: Stuff the Peppers

  1. Place the bell peppers in a baking dish.
  2. Fill each pepper with the meat and rice mixture, packing it gently.

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the Scotch Bonnet Pepper Jelly, honey, and water. Heat over low heat, stirring until smooth.

Step 5: Bake the Peppers

  1. Brush the tops of the stuffed peppers with the pepper jelly glaze.
  2. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  3. Remove the foil, sprinkle the remaining cheese on top, and bake for another 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
